The Opportunity

The heart of insitro’s strategy is the development of novel, cutting edge methods in machine learning and high-throughput biology that address key bottlenecks in the drug development pipeline. To accomplish that, we are putting together an incredible team of highly talented translational scientists who want to make a difference to this important problem. In this role, you will play a key part in building our liver disease therapeutic area (TA) and be a key member of insitro’s translational sciences team. Your primary duties will be to:

  • Lead one or more of the company’s liver diseases working closely with colleagues in stem cell, functional genomics, machine learning and drug discovery groups to plan and execute the experiments required to advance these programs;
  • Contribute to our partnered liver diseases programs, collaborating with relevant counterparts at our collaborator company to ensure timely delivery of the program goals;
  • Contribute to formulating insitro’s long-term therapeutic strategy in metabolisms and fibrosis indications;
  • Work cross-functionally to design both high-throughput experimental assays and machine learning models that will help deconvolute these biologies, stratify patients and identify drug targets;
  • Lead efforts to follow up on these targets with the goal of producing viable therapeutic interventions.

You will be joining as the founding team of a biotech startup that has long-term stability due to significant funding, but yet is very much in formation. A lot can change in this early and exciting phase, providing many opportunities for significant impact. You will work closely with a very talented team, learn a broad range of skills, and help shape insitro’s culture, strategic direction, and outcomes. Join us, and help make a difference to patients!
