The Opportunity

The heart of insitro’s strategy is the development of novel, cutting edge methods in machine learning and high-throughput biology to address key bottlenecks in the drug development pipeline.  You will work with a dynamic team to develop cutting edge molecular biology tools including CRISPRn/a/i, viral vectors, optical sequencing/biosensors, and vectors to generate iPSC cell lines to feed into insitro’s machine learning pipeline.  We are looking for motivated and talented candidates who are interested in being part of a unique, cross-disciplinary team of biologists, bioengineers, machine learners, and data scientists who want to make a difference. You will be joining as the founding team of a biotech startup that has long-term stability due to significant funding, yet is very much in formation providing many opportunities for significant impact. You will work closely with a very talented team, learn a broad range of skills, and help shape insitro’s culture, strategic direction, and outcomes. Join us and help make a difference to patients! 

About You

  • B.S./M.S. in a biological science, bio/chemical engineering, or equivalent 
  • 3+ years of relevant research experience
  • Extensive knowledge of cell culture and associated molecular biology assays  
  • Experience with human induced pluripotent stem cell culture (iPSC)
  • Interest in the design, plan and execution of cell engineering techniques
  • Excellent lab practice/organization, collaboration and communication required
  • Ability to adapt to multiple demands and changes
  • Passion for making a difference in the world

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CRISPRn/a/i and  and/or other cellular screening modalities
  • Experience with HDR knock-in/base editing for allelic editing
  • Experience developing high-throughput assays with a focus on scaling iPSC-biology
  • Experience with automation and high throughput assay development Familiarity with LIMS is a plus
  • Familiarity with Benchling or similar electronic laboratory notebook system
